The Olds Elevator System is Safer By Design

Olds elevators control dust inherently. At its very core, the operating principle of an Olds Elevator prevents the generation of dust during elevation. Since the elevator delivers its materials in fully-flooded mode, there is insufficient air for dust to form. The only air in the elevator is the interstitial air between the individual particles. Without air or dust, the risk of dust explosion for virtually any material is virtually reduced to 0. When compared to other bulk material handling methods, the Olds Elevator system offers significantly greater protection against a dust explosion.

Even if material is comprised of dust-sized particles there will be no dust elevated because there is no air for the dust particles to be suspended in. When an Olds elevator is stopped, the casing remains full of product.
